It was released on July 18, 2000 as a single from ''Jesus: Music From and Inspired by the Epic Mini-Series''. The song also contains a tribute to the 1989 Don Bluth/United Artists film ''All Dogs Go to Heaven''. The song spent 25 weeks on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 charts and peaked at number 11.
